Youth is the spring of Life. If any section of the society in any country is most important for change, it is the young people.India is a country where the youth is a major facet to the development of the nation. With the recent atrocities and attacks that took place the message "enough is enough" is loud and clear. The youth have responded to this situation with uttermost vigor. They have started questioning the negligence of the present ruling party and the existing government. But is that enough??Are their voices heard??
The main reason, I feel, is that a majority of the youth in our country is either not educated or is educated but are unemployed.Work is an important part of every persons life.It even ,at times, defines who one is and without work one could be socially excluded. For a young person of 20 to 25 years of age , the period in which he/she starts working will be the transitional point of their lives from being a child,a dependent, to being an independent adult earning a living for oneself.Even for the progress of the nation as a whole it is a prerequisite for its masses to be employed in some kind of work, especially its youth.
But those just beginning their careers also face other problems. These roadblocks include not just not being able to find suitable occupations but at the same time the long working hours and the low pay along with little or no social security and protection. For all these to be eliminated from the national scenario it is very important that the nation is led by the right person and party. This is where again the youth plays a very important role.India needs dynamic leadership to motivate and re-assure the country. Most of our votes go waste as we do not exercise our right to vote.Part of that is because most of us are either first-time voters and are unaware of how to go about the entire voting process, or have the mentality that what difference can one vote of theirs make?..I,myself,have to confess to the fact that I fall under both the categories. As I don't know how to go about the process ,I simply rationalize that what difference can one vote of mine make?Mind you,I'm not proud of it.
But now ,thanks to websites like 'www.jaagore.com' and 'www.lead.timesofindia.com',I was able to get all the information that I needed as a first-time voter. As the youth, who wish to progress in our lives, find good job’s, live in safe & healthy environments and ultimately make certain that our elderly, our parents and our siblings live in secure and safe environments, where our parents are not mugged, , our siblings are not influenced to do and sell drugs, shot and robbed, it becomes our duty to vote intelligently and to provide them with a safe, secure and healthy environment.
Thus, I personally urge each and every member of the youth of the nation to come forth during the coming elections and cast their precious votes to make India a better place for you and me.
"Youth is, after all,
just a moment, but it is the moment,
the spark, that you always carry in your heart."
~ Raisa M. Gorbachev
